This isn’t abstract demos or throwaway projects. You’ll tackle real city challenges – using AI, data, and creative tech to improve how Charlotte works, serves, & grows. AND winning teams may even see their projects move toward real-world implementation.

The event kicks off Tuesday January 27, 2026 at 6:00 PM – 10.00 PM at CO-LAB UNC Charlotte Center City in uptown Charlotte.

Prizes
HAICK CLT will have thousands of dollars in prizes up for grabs. We will announce specific prizes at the Kickoff on January 27th.

What would a hack be without swag? You bring yours, we’ll bring ours.

Your choice of hack device – laptop, tablet, multiple desktops
LLM or SLM of your choice
It’s BYOD, so bring your device and your energy. Power will be available, but space is limited – extension cords or power strips are strongly recommended.
Preparing for the Competition
HAiCK is a team event, although you are welcome to compete as an individual. Max size is 3. We recommend teams be comprised of 3 main functions: a Designer, a Coder and a Presenter.
